I live in the Ahwatukee Foothills (part of Phoenix) and i go to the Kyrene/Tempe high school district. It’s one of the better districts in the city. I’ve lived here my whole life, right now its exactly 100.4, high 100. I know some people who moved here during the summer and hated it because it’s usually around 112 in July/August, pretty hot for them, but they got used to it! A lot depends on where in Arizona you’ve been to, the weather really changes from city to city here!

Thanks for the comments! I agree, the summer can be brutal for first timers to the area who don’t expect the heat. It’s a good thing most of us have 24/7 access to air conditioning, swimming pools, and golf courses or we’d never make it!

And then of course there are the non-summer months that are absolutely gorgeous and perfect! Arizona is such a great place to enjoy the outdoors, where else can you wear shorts and go hiking in the middle of December?
